Benoît Charlot (Univ. Montpellier, France) - Microelectrode arrays and microfluidics for the recording of reconstructed neuronal junctions and organoids.

In this talk, we will present our work on the reconstruction of neuromuscular junctions in vitro using microfluidic circuits coupled to microelectrode arrays for localized recording and stimulation of electrical activity. We will show how it is possible to recreate these neural junctions and record electrical activity, with a focus on the development of devices. We will show a few examples, in particular the reconstruction of neuromuscular junctions. We will then show our work on cerebral and contractile spheroids and organoids with a technological solution based on micro cantilevers for recording electrical activity inside these three-dimensional cell clusters.
